Whaley Warriors take on Hadfield Heat this Sunday from 1330 at New Horwich Park

Drawn against Hadfield Heat and Glossop Lions, the Warriors will take on the Heat in their first match this Sunday (July 12) at 1330. The Warriors will be playing in traditional T20 coloured clothing, and there will be a licensed bar, live music, a chicken and chorizo paella, on-field interviews, and commentary. Entry is free, and the team is hoping to attract a large crowd.

Current sponsors of the side include Plain Language Commission, Legacy IT Consultants, Rippleout Marketing, Tomson Buxton, Simbal, and DJS Research. The side is still looking for more sponsors, and enquires should be sent to Reuben Cutts via reubenid@gmail.com.

Henry Holden, captain of the Warriors side for 2015, said the following: “We’re incredibly appreciative of the support we’ve had from businesses based in the local area and from further afield. This format of the game is a really exciting one, and one we hope will encourage other players in to the sport – it would be great to see a big crowd there on Sunday, so please do come along!”
