Stockport Business Community Summer BBQ

Stockport Business Community Summer BBQ: On the weekend of the Summer Solstice, the first Stockport Business Community Summer BBQ will be taking place at Stockport Rugby Club. The event is this Friday (June 19), a day before the ‘Glastonbury of the North’ – the Headlander Festival – graces the same venue.

Organised by Clarke Nicklin’s Chelsea Maher, the event is for the whole family, and begins at 4pm. There will be entertainment, a great choice of food from the BBQ and hog roast, as well as fair ground rides!

Tickets are priced at £10.00 for adults, with children going free. Funds are being raised for the Beechwood Cancer Centre and Francis House. It is hoped that sponsorship from businesses will cover operational costs, so that all the money raised from tickets and on the day can go directly to the charities.

Maher said: ”The Stockport Business Awards have proved that Stockport is home to a vibrant business community and we have some great business networks such as SK & Away and Marketing Stockport.

“Natwest, Clarke Nicklin, Midshire Business Systems and Marketing Stockport have already agreed to help fund the event so that we can raise as much money as possible for the charities, while having a great social and informal event for the whole family.”
