Mission Walk for North West Air Ambulance

Mission Walk for North West Air Ambulance: On Sunday 25 September, Wyresdale Park in Scorton, Lancashire will welcome the very first Mission Walk, hosted by the North West Air Ambulance Charity and supported by Pennine Events.

The event will showcase the dedicated, life-saving work that the air ambulance team does as part of National Air Ambulance Week. The Mission Walk will bring both continuing and new supporters together to raise vital funds as they walk a 10km or 8km family route together to support this charity.

Supporting the event will be Cyclefresh – a healthy and sustainable initiative encouraging people of all ages to incorporate more movement and healthy eating into their daily lives. Cyclefresh uses a range of innovative activities including the pedal-powered cycle smoothie maker, which will be present on the day, to get people moving and reap the benefits on a daily basis. After choosing your ingredients, it’s all down to cycle power – the longer you cycle, the smoother the smoothie. The smoothie bike is always remarkably popular and sends out a great environmentally friendly message.  They have also partnered with Dare2Bb, the outdoor apparel brand.

The North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters fly 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics on board providing rapid treatment to patients across the entire North West region. The charity is completely reliant on public and corporate donations to keep the North West’s Air Ambulance Charity helicopters operational and helping to save lives.
