Sun shines on Brinnington family fun day: More than 100 people enjoyed the Summer sun at a family fun day organised by Stockport Homes.
Brinnington Summer Fun Day gave children and adults the chance to meet and pet a variety of animals including two alpacas, rabbits, chickens and small rams. Cracker, the fire service’s dog mascot, was also there to meet everyone at the event and pose for photos.
Along with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, Healthy Stockport, Greater Manchester Police, St. Ann’s Hospice and many more organisations had a number of stalls, including a tombola and games for those at the event. The Mayor of Stockport also attended and gave a short speech about the positives of having such an event in the community.
Chair of Stockport Homes’ board, David Wright said: “It’s fantastic to see these events being so well supported and enjoyed by our customers. With the sun shining, it was great to see so many people there enjoying the range of activities and getting to meet all of the animals, including Cracker, the Fire Service mascot who was more than happy to pose for a photo.”
