Funky Readers Unveil New Image: Funky Readers, the leading online retailer of European designer glasses, eyewear and accessories, have unveiled a new brand image to reflect a sustained period of growth.
The Bramhall-based company, which owns www.funkyreaders.co.uk and www.eyeeyedesign.com, and was shortlisted for the best young business award at last year’s Stockport Business Awards, announced the new logo in July following a trip to the Royal Highland Show.
Speaking about the new identity, Martin Cunningham, who owns Funky Readers alongside wife, Judith, emphasised that the change is reflective of how the company has developed in the last three years:
“When we first set out we weren’t sure how the public would react to some of the more quirky designs we offer. However, we’ve seen demand rise year on year, and the designers were offer are incredibly popular. Over the last three years, the business has grown rapidly, and we’ve had many customers who keep coming back, from all over the world. We have no intention of changing how we go about running our business, we love the fact that we send out all orders ourselves, and that we have direct communications and build relationships with our customers, but we feel the new branding is more reflective of where we are now – a little more polished!”
Having started out little more than three years ago, Funky Readers now sells fashionable reading glasses to customers all over the globe, including a number of celebrities in both the UK and abroad. The company’s two websites stock fashion brands from across Europe.
With around eight years' experience working in both marketing and market research, Elliot works extensively with small businesses to develop their marketing strategy as a consultant when away from PBN.
